Coed to Girly Fun!!!

When we moved into our new house about 4-5 months ago I was determined to put both kiddos in the same room. That way we could have a big, fun playroom downstairs (and hopefully keep toys out of the main areas!!!) and the kids could share a room just for sleeping and clothes storage since toys were being banned from the upper level :). My dream was a reality for about 3 months then Miss Crazy Pants decided she would scream in the middle of the night, waking up her conked out brother and in return the rest of the house with 2 screaming children. Finally one night out of desperation we threw (figuratively, lol) Cuy downstairs in the play room with an old crib mattress and said you’re on your own, we’re tired… 2 months later the “playroom” is now Cuy’s room AND playroom and Miss Thang has taken over the bedroom upstairs

The blah and bland room, lots of toys everywhere with nowhere to store them!!

The crazy kiddo who needs a cohesive room!! :)

But now I am bored with her décor, we had originally planned out their room to stay the neutral tan color it was when we moved in but gave each of them their own wall/corner to personalize. Since moving Cuy’s bed and night table downstairs his posters and wall hangings have slowly followed, all that now remains are his clothes and dresser hidden in the closet, mainly because I am too lazy to have to go down 2 flights of stairs every time I need to get them dressed for the day! Haha, but out of sight out of mind, right?!? So starting now I am making Kaydence’s room my project. I have always dreamt have having a cute, girly, princess, but not too baby room for my daughter and now I have the chance!!  I want it to go from drab to fab, but keep with my cheap up cycled way of creating things out for storage or fun. I have been Pinterest obsessed for awhile now and have sporadically found color schemes that would look lovely in a little ladies room but would also (hopefully) grow with her as she turns into a older little girl , I cannot bear to call her a pre-teen or tween (AGHHHH, that’s my baby!!!!).  Here’s what I am thinking………
Choice 1
Choice 2

Choice 3

Choice 4

Choice 5
I am positive you all see why I cannot choose!!! They are all so pretty and girly, yet don’t scream BABY! at you. The plan now is to check out some paint samples and pick the one I love the most. I am really drawn to the first 3 choices but the 4th is growing on me more and more….hmmmm decisions decisions. I am going to attempt to draw up the “plan” as to what I want to do with her room, which I may have drawn during my Biology class last week, just don’t tell my teacher :)
